ABOUT
Meet the Artist
"When I dare to be powerful - to use my strength in the service of my vision, then it becomes less and less important whether I am afraid." -Audre Lorde
I am Dr. Fredricc Gerard Brock—but you can call me Brock.
I am a San Antonio-based photographer, filmmaker, and creative artist with an insatiable desire to create. Whether I am capturing a compelling portrait, crafting a fashion editorial, or telling a story through cinematography, I approach every project with intention, imagination, and an eye for what makes each person unique.
Beyond the camera, I am married to the love of my life, and together we are raising two beautiful daughters who continually inspire me to see the world with wonder, humor, and fresh perspective.
My photography journey began in 2018 when I purchased my first camera, a Canon T6i. At the time, I simply wanted a quality, easy-to-use camera to document meaningful moments with my family. I had no idea that one decision would awaken a genuine love for the art of photography.
I celebrate January 26, 2020, as my “photography birthday”—the day I first opened Photoshop and committed myself to learning how to edit. Since then, I have continued to invest in my craft, upgrading to the Nikon Z7II and Nikon Z8 while expanding my skills as a photographer, videographer, cinematographer, and editor.
I am especially drawn to creative portraiture and fashion photography—images that feel bold, expressive, sophisticated, and alive. My goal is not simply to take a photograph. It is to create an experience, reveal personality, and produce images that tell a story.
The name Doc Shoots Too reflects the multidimensional nature of my life’s journey. I have been blessed to serve as a senior commissioned military officer, former NFL player, author, pastor, educator, and nonprofit executive. I have earned three degrees, traveled the world, and worked with people from countless backgrounds. Every one of those experiences informs how I connect with clients, lead a session, and bring a creative vision to life.
From our first conversation to the final image, I am committed to providing a professional, collaborative, and unforgettable client experience.
My tagline, “No. Bad. Shots.”, is more than branding—it is a mindset and a way of life. Every meaningful pursuit begins with the courage to take the shot.
Let’s shoot. #NoBadShots
